Many grieving parents struggle spiritually after the loss of a child. You may feel angry at God. You may feel abandoned. You may wonder why prayers were not answered the way you begged them to be answered.
Those feelings do not mean you have lost your faith. They mean you are human.
Faith after child loss may not feel like certainty. Sometimes faith is simply whispering, “God, I do not understand, but please do not leave me here alone.”

Thank God for God speaks to the parent who still believes but is hurting. It speaks to the person who wants comfort but does not want clichés. It offers a reminder that God’s presence is not limited to the moments when life feels joyful. God is also present in the tears, the questions, the anger, the silence, and the long nights.
